A Mombasa court has sentenced a Mombasa business man to 15 years in prison over the offense of drug trafficking.

Mombasa Senior resident magistrate,Rita Orora further ordered the suspect to pay a fine of 9.1 million in default to serve one year in prison.

Abdulmajid Msalam Timamy was found guilty of trafficking 1015.8gms of Heroin valued at kshs.3,047,400.

The particulars were that on March 22,2019 at Tononoka area near Shell patrol station in Mvita sub-county within Mombasa county, the accused while in a motor vehicle registration number KCT 180M CRV Honda trafficked by conveying 1015.8gms of Heroin valued at kshs.3,047,400.

The court ordered that the vehicle that was used to ferry the drugs in which they were found in be forfeited to the state.
