Likoni sub-county police commander, Joseph Kyalo Mutungi, has confirmed that investigations and efforts to apprehend two suspects Linked to recent mudder incidents in Likoni are in advanced stage following intensive-led operation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and national police service (NPS).

Speaking to journalists from Likoni police station today Mutungi said a pregnant woman identified as Elizabeth Nina was on March 21 this year discovered murdered in an incomplete building in areas of Senti Kumi.

Nina had been raped before being brutally murdered by unknown persons.

In a separate incident, 21-year-old Fedelis Chepchumba was also last week ‘murdered’ by her boyfriend.

Chepchumba’s mutilated body was on Saturday April 25, discovered in her boyfriend’s house at Mtaa wa Maka area in Timbwani three days after she was reported missing at her work place.

The police commander said postmortem reports indicated that Nina died from injuries inflicted by a blunt object while Chepchumba was manually strangled to death.
