A woman in Kisauni, Mombasa is seeking assistance to locate her 14-year-old missing son.

For nearly two months Elizabeth Kechula says has been searching for her 14-year-old son, John Kachula who disappeared while playing outside their house in Mshomoroni’s Manyani area.

The mother says she has searched hospitals, police stations and other different parts of Mombasa but has found no trace of him.

Kachula who went missing on September 9, is a foundation level 2 student at Mlaleo special unity school.

He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and black trouser.

The child has cognitive mental health challenges and is not able to communicate properly.

The matter was reported at Mjambere police station.

The mother is pleading for assistance to find him

In a separate incident, the 12-year-old boy, Lucas Orina, who was reported missing after leaving home in Mshomoroni on September 6, 2026, has been found.

The family has confirmed that Orina is now safe and has been reunited with them.

The minor was today morning located at a children’s home in Tudor, Mombasa after news of him missing were shared in the media.

Orina’s family together with She Rises Civil Society Group has appreciated everyone who shared the missing-child alert and contributed to efforts to locate him.
